5th Wall Theatre’s bar and lounge will be transformed into The Green Light, a Gatsby themed holiday speakeasy with jazz age holiday drinks and decor.

Performance Dates: Soft Opening is 12/3 and runs until 1/3.

CASTING BREAKDOWN:

We are looking for 6 singers and 2 pianists for a holiday cabaret that will be performed throughout the season.

Two casts of two singers will perform on alternating nights, and 2 swings will cover the casts.

CASTING NOTE:

Both tracks are open to all performers regardless of race, ethnicity, gender or identity, all are encouraged to apply.

“Singer Track Nick”

Will perform the traditionally male presenting vocal parts and songs.

“Singer Track Jordan”

Will perform the traditionally female presenting vocal parts and songs.

COMPENSATION:

All positions are paid.

WHAT TO PREPARE:

Auditions will be via video submission. Music Director Elle Meerovich has prepared wonderful resources for you to make the process quick and easy.

Each role has sheet music, a learning track, and an instrumental track to use to record your audition.

SUbmitting your audition:

Please use the instrumental track provided to record your audition and email it to 5th Wall Operations Manager Matt Mitchell at auditions@5thwalltheatre.org and cc Music Director Elle Meerovich at elle.meerovich@gmail.com.

Pianists please email a clip of you performing in a similar jazz or cabaret style.

Memorization is not required, but auditioners are encouraged to have a strong familiarity with the lyrics, and to embrace a “dimly lit jazz bar aesthetic” with their performance.
