Readers’ Theatre

5th Wall’s Readers’ Theatre Series explores both new and established works in a scaled down setting (no costumes, no sets, actors hold scripts in hand) to let the text move to center stage. Readings have only a few rehearsals and minimal staging, which opens up opportunities for busy artists to dive into a piece that scheduling may not otherwise allow.

These staged readings may be a part of developing a new work and presenting it to an audience for the first time, may be a chance for us to hear and see an established piece play before an audience, or may be a play we feel very compelled to share with an audience but that stands outside our mainstage season.

It’s a wonderful opportunity to see fantastic actors playing some marvelous text and for a low, low ticket price!
